1.形容词的比较级和更高级

　　规则变化：一般在单音节和部分双音节的形容词的词尾加-er或-esto大部分双音节和多音节的形容词，则在其前面加more或most.

　　（1）形容词比较级用法

　　I thought he was actually poorer than he really was. 我原来认为他比实际上更穷。

　　It is better to be silent than to speak. 说话是银，沉默是金。

　　Reading is easier than speaking. 读比说容易。

　　（2）形容词更高级用法

　　John is the oldest （youngest，strongest，weakest，smallest，cleverest） boy in the class. 约翰是班上年龄更大的（更小的、身体更结实的、身体更差的、个子更小的、更聪明的）的男生。

　　Peter is the fattest （thinnest，biggest） boy on the team. 彼特是队里更胖（更瘦、个子更大）的队员。

　　She is the liveliest （happiest，heaviest，ugliest，friendliest，healthiest，hungriest，prettiest，sleepiest） of us all. 她是我们所有人中更活泼（更快乐、更重、更丑、更友好、更健康、更饿、更漂亮、更困倦）的人。
